Communist Party of Nepal Launched a National Strike

Communist Party of Nepal launched a national strike which led closures of shops and influence of transportation. Supporters had conflicts with the police, causing a lot of injuries. Reports said that it’s the largest protest the Nepal Communist have organized since they withdrew from the government.

The demonstrators are parading in the streets
Demonstrators ignited tires, destroyed passing vehicles, and threw stones to government officials. Meanwhile, the police used water canons, tear gas etc. in an attempt to drive away the crowds. According to the native Nepal report, the demonstrators are planning to launch more demonstrations in two days.
Nepal Communist won the election last year, their summit Prachanda had been the prime minister for some time. But this May he had a dispute with the president for the issue of removing military heads, and was forced to resign. Prachanda said at the conference that they’ve failed to make efforts to break the impasse between other parties within the government.
Protest will last for three days, Prachanda promised the protest will continue in peace. But Nepal government spokesman said demonstrators had set fire to four vehicles, and the police had detained ten militants. The authorities also said that since the protest is not long, it won’t cause tight supply of food and other necessities.
